SHANE LOWRY IS just one shot off the lead on the final day of the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai and is sitting right behind English leader Justin Rose.
The Offaly man produced a stunning third round display, hitting five birdies on the way to carding a four-under 68 at the penultimate stage of the competition to sit alongside his second round score of 70.
Lowry shot three birdies on the front nine before adding two more on the turn, with just one bogey on the 17th hole the only blemish of his performance.
It leaves him in a strong position to chase down current leader Justin Rose in the final round which has already started, and at the time of publication, Lowry had already notched up an incredible nine birdies with three holes left to play.
Paul Dunne is eight shots further back after a third round 67 which also included five birdies.
